The community is invited to attend a virtual information meeting to learn more about the May 5 Non-Homestead Operating Millage Replacement proposal and what it means for Eastpointe Community Schools. 

The Eastpointe Community Schools Board of Education unanimously took action Friday, December 12, 2025 to formally terminate the employment of Martin Waskowski.

Eastpointe Community Schools was notified on Friday, December 5, 2025, by the Michigan State Police and the Department of Homeland Security that a Pleasantview teacher had been arrested out of state on December 3, 2025, and charged with possession and transportation of child exploitation materials. Prior to this formal notification, the District had no knowledge of, nor had it received any allegations related to, this individual.

All Eastpointe Community Schools services and operations, including free breakfast and lunch, will continue despite ongoing budget uncertainty in Lansing.
