Community Announcement: Board Trustee Resignation and Vacancy
Dear Eastpointe Community,
We regret to inform you that Board Trustee Cassie Gruenberg has made the difficult decision to resign from her position on the Eastpointe Community Schools Board of Education due to health reasons, effective January 13, 2025. Cassie has been a dedicated advocate for our students, staff, and community, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for her service. We wish her all the best.
We invite interested and qualified community members to apply to serve on the Board of Education for the remaining two years of Mrs. Gruenberg’s term, which expires on December 31, 2026. This is an important opportunity to contribute to the continued success of our district and make a positive impact on the lives of our students as we live into our mission.

A Letter of Interest detailing why you wish to serve and how you can contribute to the Board's work.
A Resume outlining your qualifications and relevant experience.

Prospective candidates should plan to attend and be available for interviews during a special Board of Education meeting on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Administrative Center. The selected candidate will join the Board at the regular meeting on February 10.
